Honey-Lime Fruit Salad

Today is a gloriously grey day. I love grey days. They're so cozy. I wish I didn't have to go anywhere, so I could just curl up in comfy clothes and read a book, but sadly, today I am actually pretty busy! Oh well, there is Christmas music on the radio, so I'll feel all festive while buzzing around. Here's hoping I manage my time well enough to get everything done without getting frantic! My time management has been non-existent lately... But I think it's on the way back!  Luckily I took pictures of this fruit salad yesterday, when it was sunny! It wouldn't be nearly as pretty today :)

Oh! And by the way, I am sharing my Ginger Chocolate Chip Scones over at Mommy is Coocoo today. I'm a weekly contributor now! Go take a look! Also, I'm replacing a few of the pictures on my Gooey Bars post. They've been bugging me for months, and I finally made them again!

Honey-Lime Fruit Salad (adapted from Oh! You Cook! via Pinterest)
Printable Recipe

1 bag/large bunch of green grapes
1 pint strawberries
1 pint blueberries
1/8 cup honey
juice from 1 lime

You can, of course, use any combination of fruits you desire! I picked the feature combination because it wa just so pretty :)

Take the leaves off the strawberries, rinse, and slice in half. Rinse blueberries and check for stems. Rinse grapes and remove from stems. Pat all the fruit dry with paper towels, and dump them in a large, lidded container. Drizzle honey and lime over the fruit, toss until the honey thins and coats all the fruit (instead of just staying in a sticky lump). Serve, or let sit in the fridge until serving.
What a wonderful, simple, tasty touch to your average fruit salad! Sweet and tangy. Yum.
It especially helps with out-of-season fruit, somehow it ripens their flavors. The blueberries were my favorite.
Little Stephen and I had some over plain greek yogurt and granola, and it was soooo delicious! Does this count as healthy?
