For today, Nov 18 ...
Outside my window... Sunny sunny! I would be worried we are going to have a non-existent winter again, but it still gets quite chilly in the evenings, and *fingers crossed* a forecast of snow for Thursday and Friday!!
I am thinking... I wanna go back to bed. :)
I am thankful... I am thankful for all of my readers! I'm glad you stick around, even when I disappear for a week, or change the menu on you, or have nothing interesting to say. I'm thankful for your comments and your pins. I'm thankful you give me a reason to keep doing this blogging thing! I love it, but it would lose much of it's charm if no one was around to see it. Thank you, Readers and Friends!

In the kitchen... Lots going on this week!! If all goes according to plan, I could come out of this week with 8 new bloggable recipes! It's tricky though, especially with dinner recipes, because I'm losing my light much earlier these days. See, I have to take pictures outside on our little patio. Because of the direction our apartment faces, and the surrounding trees and buildings, I only have a few hours a day that are picture worthy! So you might end up with a few inside shots. Which aren't as bad as they used to be, but natural light is so much better. Only three more weeks, three more weeks till I can take pictures in my new kitchen! Or dining room! Eeek!!
I am looking forward to... MOVING!!! If all goes well, if our sellers move out when they are planning, we will be moving in on the 7th of December! I can't wait to live in our new house. Every time I park somewhere random in the parking lot... Every time I have to drive my trash across the complex... every time my upstairs neighbor comes out and smokes on his patio... every time I have to walk Bracken out to the woods... ah, it just makes me so impatient!

Around the house... Wow, lots of exciting things. We bought our very first brand-new mattress, QUEEN size! We've been using a hand-me-down double since we got married, and I am in love with my new bed. We also found a lightly used front-loading washer and dryer for less than half what they're worth, and are going to go couch shopping on Black Friday. We need a pretty couch and chair for the upstairs living room. I am obsessed with Christmas decorations, and need to seriously keep myself in check! We'll be buying a wreath and a garland this year, but NO MORE. Oh, it is so HARD!! But this year I get a house. Next year I can deck it out!
I am going... This week is pretty slow, errand and appointment-wise. Just a dentist visit! Next week is when it gets a little crazy... We're having Thanksgiving a day early so The Geologist's brother and his wife can come visit! Then Thursday we're feeding missionaries (luckily for me they want Thanksgiving leftovers! But I'll whip up a fresh dessert for them, of course), and Friday one of The Geologist's geology friends will be visiting. Whew!! It'll be fun... and a little crazy!

One of my favorite things... When my boys laugh. Joe has this amazing deep chuckle, and Stephen's laugh is absolutely infectious! The problem is, these days they're more likely to be fighting than laughing. Or Stephen is doing his crazy-person fake laugh. So when they're laughing for real, it's amazing. And it makes everything better!
A peek into my day... My favorite part of my day is picking Joe up from kindergarten. He comes out of the school, finds me, and comes running as fast as he can, arms wide open, for a full-on bear hug. Makes my day every single time.
